Collection Description & Creator Information

Scope and Contents

Consists of a volume containing handwritten notes regarding the genealogical tree of the Kriezēs family from Hydra island in Greece. It was written by Antōnios Emm. Kriezēs. Only the first 72 pages of the volume are written; the rest up to page 196 are blank. Antōnios Kriezēs writes down all the family events, births and deaths, marriages and baptisms, from 1810, the birth of his father, Emmanouēl Antōnios Kriezēs, up to 1923. His son Theodōros Kriezēs continues the record keeping from 1923 up to 1967 (p. 50-71). Antōnios E. Kriezēs was the father of the architects Emmanouēl and Andreas Kriezēs. A mention to Andreas is made here by his brother Theodōros (p. 60-68). The text starts on p. 1 with the title, "Chronika Oikogeneias mou, Genneseis kai apovioseis."

Also included is a loose handwritten leaf paper.
