Arrangement

The papers are organized by state into five files—New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Miscellaneous. They are organized alphabetically by title within the within the New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. files. The Miscellaneous file is organized and arranged alphabetically by state.

Appraisal

The bound books from Southard's library were moved to the Rare Books Division for cataloging. Several maps were moved to the Historic Maps Collection. All other material has been retained.
