This subseries contains several addresses written and delivered by Green and portions of The life of The Revd John Witherspoon, D.D., LL.D (New Brunswick, N.J.: Council of the Society of Colonial Wars of the State of New Jersey, c1973), which was a biography of College of New Jersey president and signer of the Declaration of Independence Dr. John Witherspoon. The addresses all appear to have been delivered during Green's tenure as president of the College of New Jersey. The material related to the "Life of Witherspoon" includes photostats of letters Green compiled while doing research and a galley proof copy of the index.
