Description:

The collection consists of works, correspondence, and memorabilia of Greene, as well as papers of others. The collection contains essays, articles, lectures, and notebooks by Greene and includes correspondence, much of which was written by friends and colleagues in 1921 congratulating him on his appointment to Princeton as dean of the newly formed School of Engineering and chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In addition, there are notes (1935-1936) taken by John W. Landis (Princeton Class of 1947) of Greene's lectures in theoretical physics and problems in Daugherty's hydraulics, reports by Landis on the various departments of the Inland Steel Company (1938), and a dissertation on a design of a power system by Edward Dunbar Purvis, William Mcafee Hanna, and James A. Wadsworth.
