Abstract
Consists of four book-length manuscripts by American clergyman J. P. Lundy (Princeton Class of 1846) regarding ancient Christianity and prehistoric American religion.

- Description:
The collection consists of four book-length manuscripts by Lundy (Princeton Class of 1846): Monumental Christianity (1876), a treatise on ancient Christianity and symbolism; "Prehistoric Worship in America"; "Prehistoric Rock-Inscriptions of North America"; and "Alaskan Legends from [Abbe] Petitot", including the Cree legend of Ayas and a series of six of his lectures on the aboriginal civilization and religion of prehistoric America.

Lundy, John P. (John Patterson), 1823-1892
A graduate of Princeton (Class of 1846), Lundy became a deacon in the Protestant Episcopal Church and was chaplain of the state prison in Sing Sing, New York. In 1869 he became rector of the Church of the Holy Apostles in New York City but resigned in 1875 due to health issues.
