The collection consists of selected papers of Gerould, Princeton librarian (1920-1938), accumulated during the preparation of a bibliography of the works of Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758), Congregational clergyman and Princeton president, which was published in 1940 by Thomas H. Johnson. Included are correspondence with various university and public libraries, notes, lists, typescripts, and Princeton University Press galley proofs (1937) for the work entitled, The Printed Writings of Jonathan Edwards, 1703-1758: A Bibliography.
