- Scope and Contents
Consists of monthly and comprehensive records of Beauharnais' personal expenses as Viceroy in Italy, 1806-1814; ledgers and documents recording the accounts and budgets of the royal households in Italy, 1806-1814, and later in Bavaria at Eichstätt, Ismaning, and Baden, including expenses for art dealers, hunting, wine, horses, and estate plans, as well as general budgets and credits and debits; bank accounts and financial dealings with the Bethmann Brothers, Nockher Brothers, Macaire Brothers, and others after his removal to Bavaria in 1815; and many bills, invoices, and receipts for various storekeepers and bookstores, particularly from Fontaine in Mannheim.

This series is arranged into seven subseries: Records of EB's Personal Finances, Royal Household Finances and Affairs, Bills, Letters, Invoices, Receipts & Lists, Record of EB's Bank Accounts, Bethmann Brothers' Accounts, Müller Affair Records, and Nockher Brothers' Accounts.
