Scope and Contents

The collection consists of selected papers of Thomas, professor of religious thought (1940-1968) at Princeton. Included are many lectures and addresses, most of which were used for his classes, dealing with such subjects as religion and education, philosophical ideas in religion and literature, the history of Christian thought, Christian ethics, and Christian ideas in poetry and literature. Also present are book reviews (1942-1969), a bound typescript of Thomas's autobiography "My Story" (1977), a small amount of correspondence, and clippings of reviews of his books.
