- Description:
The collection consists of Fantova's collection of Albert Einstein material, as well as some of her own personal papers. Included are 28 letters and 15 poems (all in German) from the late 1940s by Einstein to her; Fantova's "Gespräche mit Einstein" ("Conversations with Einstein") manuscript; and 57 undated (mostly black-and-white) photographs of Einstein, and a few other unidentified people and places, most of which were taken later in life. Also present are photostatic copies of several Einstein manuscripts in German, "Zur Einheitlichen Feldtheorie" (incomplete), "Die Struktur des Continuum," and miscellaneous fragments and letters; a poem, "Tiger an Hanne" (1945), by Margot Einstein; and correspondence (1957-1958) between Hanna Fantova and Leo Perlman about Einstein's estate.
