- Description:
The collection contains selected correspondence of Daniels (Princeton Class of 1888). Included are letters concerning his appointment to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioners in 1911, and his resignation from the Interstate Commerce Commission in 1923. Correspondents include John Grier Hibben, Oswald Garrison Villard, Joseph Tumulty, Walter Howe, James F. Fielder, and George L. Record. Also present are documents and correspondence related to Daniels' property on Mercer Street in Princeton, New Jersey.

Daniels, Winthrop More, 1867-1944
A member of the Princeton University Class of 1888, Winthrop M. Daniels was a professor of economics at Princeton University, 1895-1923, and at Yale University, 1923-1935. Additionally, Daniels served on the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioners and the Interstate Commerce Commission

Gift of R. Balfour Daniels, transferred from the P.U. archives in Mudd Library (AM1993-55).

The collection was formed as a result of a departmental practice of combining into one collection manuscript material of various accessions relating to a particular author.
