The collection consists of Wainwright's collection of manuscripts, correspondence, drawings, and related material by and about Thomas Wolfe, the American novelist, playwright, and storywriter. The collection contains a selection of Wolfe's papers (writings, correspondence, documents, and drawings), adaptations by others of some of his works, papers relating to Wolfe, and correspondence of Wainwright concerning the collection.
