- Description:
The collection consists of 34 letters and postcards by Rothenstein to four correspondents: Henry Davray (1--1898), Elizabeth Jungmann (25--1927, 1938-1941, 1943), F. H. Sunderland (7--1918, 1920s, 1931), and E. G. Wolfe (1--1930). The majority, those addressed to Ms. Jungmann, the future wife of Max Beerbohm, discuss work, mutual friends, daily activities, travel plans, and her apparent application for English citizenship in 1939.
