Consists chiefly of Batak manuscripts of the ancient texts called pustaha, collected by John F. Mason.

- Description:
The collection chiefly includes manuscripts of the ancient texts called pustaha. The subject-matter of the pustaha is confined to traditional medication, spells and charms, almanacs and dream interpretations. The manuscripts are in codex form, carved bamboo tubes, and in rolls housed in bamboo tubes. All of the items in this collection are undated but are probably 18th and 19th century.
