The collection consists of material relating to Ginevra King's romantic relationship with Fitzgerald. Included are King's diary; her letters to Fitzgerald that he returned to her; a letter by Fitzgerald to King; a short story written by King; and an issue of Town and Country which includes mention of Ginevra King. There is also correspondence between Ginevra King (as Mrs. John Pirie) and Dan Piper, Arthur Mizener, and Julian Boyd, with a couple of Mizener's offprints.

King

Ginevra King (1898-1980) was an American socialite and heiress from Lake Forest, Illinois, and had a romantic relationship with F. Scott Fitzgerald from 1915 to 1917. She was part of a quartet of wealthy debutantes famous in Chicago during World War I, who called themselves the "Big Four," and she inspired many characters in Fitzgerald's novels and stories.

In 2022, restrictions on the collection where researchers were required to use surrogates were lifted as part of a restrictions review project.
