The collection consists primarily of letters by Williams (or under the name of his poet's press, Jargon Society) to author and philanthropist Barnabas McHenry. Some of the letters are promotional, often soliciting funds for the Jargon Society. There is also one card by "Tom" to McHenry.

Williams

Jonathan Williams (Princeton Class of 1951) founded the Jargon Society, a poet's press, in 1951 and has served as its editorial director, publisher, and designer.

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor.
