Scope and Contents

Typescript with extensive holograph corrections in the author's hand. Consists of a draft of "the Epics" portion of Lady Gregory's memoirs covering the beginning of her career as a writer, the Gaelic Revival, her decision to put together an English version of the Cuchulain legend, and discussions with W. B. Yeats, Edward Martyn, and others.


Acquisitions are arranged alphabetically by author.

Leonard L. Milberg originally deposited this item in 2006. It was then gifted in 2022 (AM 2023-097).


No materials were separated from the collection during 2018-2023 processing.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process.
