The collection consists of photographs and ephemera from the beginning part of Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Staubach's world cruise aboard the S.S. Resolute of the Hamburg-American Line, which left New York City on January 6, 1930, crossing the Atlantic and visiting Madeira, Gibraltar, and the Mediterranean, including Athens, Greece.

Staubach, C. P. (Charles P.), 1870-1966

Charles P. Staubach began as a salesman, became an agency manager, and later general sales manager for Burroughs Corporation. A leader in the early days of organized bicycling, Staubach was a member of rhe Century Road Club, which he founded in 1897. He was nominated to the American Bicycle Hall of Fame in 1965.

Purchase from Steve Finer in 2005; Acquired with matching funds provided by the Program in Hellenic Studies with the support of the Stanley J. Seeger Hellenic Fund. AM 2005-81.
