The collectoin consists primarily of photocopies of publishing material (1978-1992) related to McGraw's tenure at McGraw-Hill Publishing Company, including correspondence, press releases, financial reports, and internal memoranda.

Collection Creator Biography:

McGraw, Harold W.

Born in 1918, Harold W. McGraw, Jr., graduated from Princeton University in 1940, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and joined McGraw-Hill in 1947 after gaining some experience in advertising and book retailing. He became president of the McGraw-Hill Book Company in 1968 and later president, CEO, and chairman of the board of McGraw-Hill, Inc. McGraw retired in 1988, but was elected chairman emeritus by the board.

All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor.
