The collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, postcards, and clippings of Elizabeth Mann Borgese, her husband, Giuseppe Antonio Borgese, and her mother, Katia Mann. The manuscripts include a typed "Draft of the Constitutional Commission Report for the World Movement Congress in Rome"; a typescript of E. M. Borgese's unpublished play "Pieces and Pawns"; and an autograph typescript by G. A. Borgese of his poem "Easter Sunday." The correspondence is chiefly with Erich Kahler.

Borgese, Elisabeth Mann

Elisabeth Mann Borgese, youngest daughter of the German author Thomas Mann, was a founding member of the environmental organization The Club of Rome. Her husband, Giuseppe Antonio Borgese, was a noted Italian writer, journalist, and literary critic.
