The collection consists of selected correspondence of Dallas, as well as a rough draft of an oration he gave at Princeton on September 27, 1831. Correspondents include James Carnahan, Louis Jacob Cist, Alexander James Dallas (grandfather), H. C. Dallas (brother), James M. Mason, William S. Pennington, and John L. Wolff.
