- Scope and Contents
Consists of two photographs (26 x 12 cm each) attached on both sides of the same cardboard (previous part of a detached photograph album from the late 19th century). The first photograph depicts the port of Piraeus, captioned "Pyraeus" and numbered "73" on the negative in white ink. It could be dated approximately in 1888 from the buildings. The second image on the other side of the cardboard depicts the Choragic Monument of Lycicrates, the surrounding then houses and the Lycabettus Hill at the background, captioned on the cardboard "Dorisches Monument des Lysicrates" and numbered "28".

Gift of the Program in Hellenic Studies with the support of the Stanley J. Seeger Hellenic Fund. (AM 2020-55)

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process.
