Description:

The collection consists primarily of correspondence of John Henry Hobart and members of his extended family. There are several transcribed letters by Hobart to his mother, Hannah Hobart. Other correspondents include Marabella Story, Hobart's nephews Nathanael Potts Hobart and W. A. Smith, and his brother Robert E. Hobart. Also included are several draft letters from Mrs. Hannah Hobart to her sons and four poems written by different members of Hobart's family.
