Subseries 7A: Writings, 1963 November-2001 August 7
Collection Description & Creator Information
- Scope and Contents
Files related to Frederick Morgan's work as a poet, critic, translator, and interview subject. Includes manuscripts (including multiple drafts of poems), corrected galleys, proofs, correspondence with publishers and others, notebooks, diaries, research materials, personal journals, items related to book production and promotion, and interview transcripts. Subseries include Books of Poetry, Individual Poems, and Translations (all arranged alphabetically by work title), but also Morgan's Student Writings and his Personal Journals. The journals are particularly interesting as Morgan kept them more-or-less continuously between 1968 and 2001, and they provide a remarkably detailed and personal record of his life during those years.
Arranged by title, books before individual poems.
No materials were separated from the collection during 2015 processing.
