- Description:
The collection consists chiefly of twenty-nine autograph letters and three postcards sent by Richard Le Gallienne to Frederick Turner. Other correspondence includes a letter to Paul Lemperly, one to "Mr. Mathews," two letters to Silvanus Phillips Thompson, and one to William M. Van der Weyde. The subject matter of the letters range from friendly topics to new books, proofs, photographs, or articles in The Yellow Book. Also included is an autographed photograph portrait of Le Gallienne by W & D Downey, a very small portrait of Le Gallienne inscribed to Turner, a photograph of a library at "Waggoner Wells," and a photograph of a garden captioned by Le Gallienne as "The Mulberry Tree."
