Collection Description & Creator Information
The collection consists of correspondence to McKnight and miscellaneous manuscript material: leaves from commonplace books containing excerpts from classic and English literature, addresses delivered before literary and social clubs, and a heavily corrected autograph manuscript, signed and labeled "Roman Literature."

The collection was formed in part as a result of a departmental practice of combining into one collection manuscript material of various accessions relating to a particular author.
