The collection consists of selected letters and photographs authors, poets, and friends collected by Alice Davis Tibbetts. Included are a visiting card of Ford Madox Ford; a photograph of Thomas Wolfe; photographs of Dexter, Gertrude, and Marcia Masters; two letters and a card from H. L. Mencken; a photograph of Pearl Violet Metzelthin inscribed to Tibbetts; two photographs of Gerald Sanders; five cards and one letter by Jesse Stuart; four photographs of A. M. Sullivan; a "Thank you" note from Virgil Thomson; and a letter by John Hall Wheelock. The material was laid-in a collection of books presented by Alice Davis Tibbetts to Princeton University Library.
