Collection Overview

Collection Description & Creator Information

Scope and Contents

This series boasts a large addition of materials to the original acquisition. Included are notes, drafts, and other materials pertaining to Yurkievich vast critical oeuvre, as well as notes and drafts of poems and short stories. There is a significant amount of correspondence in this series as well. Subject files on Latin American artists and writers contain a variety of materials, such as multiple drafts of essays (AMss, TMss, computer printouts,) notes, correspondence, conference programs, photographs, or other ephemera. Though most materials are undated, a grouping of "early works" reveals the thematic and stylistic tendencies of the younger Yurkievich, an interesting counterpoint to his more mature work.
