Consists of correspondence between Andrew Brown and artists that Stangos worked with, or knew as friends, to contribute to the book Pure Reason in memoriam of Nikos Stangos. Included are: Tom Phillips, Angelica Garnett, Frank Auerbach, R.B. Kitaj, Jasper Johns, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Vasō Kyriakē, Aspa Stasinopoulou, Whitney and Bob (?), Stephen Cox, Julian Lethbridge, Joe Tilson, Jake Tilson, Tim Head, Allen Jones, Jan Hasley, Keith Milow, Mark Lancaster, Liam Gillick, Jessica Craig-Martin, Maggi Hambling, Sir Anthony Caro, Stephen Buckley, Ann (?) with color photos of her art work. There are also two color photographs and one transaprency of art works by John Golding.
