Includes Nikos Stangos's official correspondence, mostly incoming, spanning from 1975 to 2003, with poets, writers, scholars, artists, and art historians as an editorial director of Thames and Hudson. The vast amount of the correspondence relates to the submission of their works to be published by Stangos Publishing House. Some of the names included are: David Hockney, George Baker, Helen Andrew-Harris, Prof. Caroline Bruzelius, Roger Benjamin, John Willett, Zoē Kosmidou, Ian Walker, Sir Nicholas Serota, Yve-Alain Bois, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Joan Stanley-Baker, N.C. Talbot Rice, Michael Rush, David Phillips, Christopher Allen, J. Chadwick, Richard Schmidt, Ulrich Lehmann, Alan Livingston, John Gage, Mark Read, Robert Hughes and hundreds others. The correpondence comprises original and copies of typed letters, electronic mail, and facsimiles.

- Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
