Includes autograph manuscript drafts by Alaveras. Newspaper clippings from various local papers from 1965-1982 have been transfered in Box 43 (folder 1).

In this folder is kept material that Alaveras put together with the drafts of Sēmeiōseis, such as page proofs and clippings of articles or essays published in several Greek literary magazines. Included are: "Skepseis ap'aphormē tis prozes tou Themelē hopou synantietai hyliko tēs poiēsēs tou" published in Ho poiētēs Giōrgos Themelēs: tomos timētikos, 1971; "Prōtes synantēseis" published in Nea Hestia, 1698-1699 (1-15 April 1998); "Thelō mia eikona" dated July 1, 1993; "Me tous planētas" published in Nea Hestia, 1403 (1985); "Amerimnoamerimnos" published in Kritikē parousia tou Petrou S. Spandōnidē, (1992); "Entechnos logos" publisehd in hē lexē, 144 (March-April 1998); "Diavazontas ton Ḏostogiephski tou Tasou Athanasiadē"; "D.K. Vogazlēs: henas machētēs tou Valkanikou hellēnismou" published in Nea Hestia, 1571 (Christmas 1992); "Arthra kai meletēmata gia tē zōē kai to ergo tou Paulou Papasiōpē" in Elimeiaka, 3; Tou Giōtamē in Aphierōma ston I.M. Panagiōtopoulo, 1988; and "Logotechnika themata" in Nearchos, 29 (October-December 2003); "Katochiko" (23.2.1989).


This subseries has been organized into books, diaries, and miscellaneous writings: the books have been arranged in an alphabetical order by the title of the work; the diaries and the miscellaneous writings have been arranged in a chronological order, starting with the earliest dates.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
