This subseries includes photographs of Tēlemachos and Roula Alaveras; portraits of Alaveras; Alaveras with his friends, colleagues, politicians, relatives, and acquaintances participating in several events: award ceremonies; meetings with old classmates; taks; literary symposia; book signings; book presentations; exhibitions; events organized by Roula Alavera; the opening ceremony of the Vaphopouleion Cultural Center; and others. There are also portraits of several Greek writers or poets, such as Giannēs Ritsos (included a copy of a photograph of Ritsos with Manos Katrakes in the exile); Dēmētrēs Dēmou; Kōstas Varnalēs; Giōrgēs Kotsiras; Paulos Papasiōpēs; Helenē Vakalo; Alkiviadēs Giannopoulos; Chrēstos Dalias; Anastasēs Vistōnitēs; Michales Meraklēs; Mēnas Dēmakēs; Paulos Spandōnidēs; Giannēs Sphakianakēs; Giōrgos Themelēs; and many others, as well as politicians.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
