Abstract
The Alice Raphael Collection of Faust Materials contains photographs and epherema relating to the Yale bicentennial of Goethe's Faust , for which Alice Raphael's translation was used, as well as information about other productions of Faust and about Raphael's other work.

Raphael
Alice Raphael was an author and translator of German literature. Her translation of Goethe's Faust was used in the performance of the play given at the Pilgrimage Outdoor Theatre (now John Anson Ford Amphitheatre) in Los Angeles in 1938, and Yale's production celebrating Goethe's bicentennial in 1949, among others.
