Johann Henrich Voigt (1613-1691), an astronomer, astrologer, and almanac-compiler, prepared two of the volumes. The author of the third is unknown.</abstract>

<p>For preservation reasons, original analog
and digital media may not be read or played back in the
reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media
but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog
audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality
standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests
are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note,
the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks
to as long as several months and there may be financial costs
associated with the process.

    <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>Collection consists of three individually bound horoscopes, circa 1678, in German and some Latin, all prepared for Baron Alexander von Enke (1650-87), who served in the army of the Electorate of Saxony and fought against the Ottoman Turks during the Great Turkish War (1683-1699). Von Enke died of a fever on the Ionian Greek island of Zakynthos (Zante) in 1687. Johann Henrich Voigt (1613-1691), an astronomer, astrologer, and almanac-compiler, who lived in Stade (a city north of Hamburg) and other places, prepared two of the volumes. The author of the third is unknown.</p>  </scopecontent>

Includes full-page natal chart (in brown and red), one table, and three textual overlays. Contemporary red paper wrapper. [fol. 1r] "Christmassige Nativitat oder Geburts-Beschreibung ... [fol. 2v] Judicium Generale de Naturalibus. Kurtze Betrachtung der XII Hauser und deren Beschaffenheiten ... Includes full-page Radix and double-page quadratic Radix and some tables. Fol. B recto identifies him as "M. B."
