Collection Overview

Collection Description & Creator Information

Description:

The collection consists of various personal and professional papers of editor and writer Renée Karol Weiss (1923-2021). Materials include incoming correspondence to Renée and her husband Theodore Weiss (1916-2003), as well as an almost daily run of love letters from Theodore to Renée from 1939 to 1941 that the couple published in The Always Present Present (2003). Other materials include travel diaries and related ephemera, notebooks, writings, and a few files of primarily correspondence relating to the Quarterly Review of Literature (QRL).

Some of the correspondence and writings relate specifically to Theodore Weiss. Most of the original folder titles, when descriptions did exist, were maintained.
