Consists of a small collection of 19th century trout flies and related manuals by John Sanderson, T. E. (Thomas Evan) Pritt, and Henry Wade. Sanderson's handwritten manual called "Trout Flies - what to make them of and when to use them," (1872, Richmond, Virginia) consists of twenty-three pages and includes two hand-illustrated fly diagrams. Henry Wade (Honorary Secretary to the Wear Valley Angling Association) and T. E. Pritt's manuscript, "Descriptions of (Yorks) Artificial Trout Flies" (1860), consists of about sixty pages. Both manuals detail different flies and the best months to use them. There is also a leather fly wallet with flies enclosed, as well as a small quantity of hackle folders and envelopes containing feathers used for making flies.

Sanderson
John Sanderson was a trout fisherman and fly tyer from Richmond, Virginia, who was active in the mid 19th century.
Pritt
T. E. (Thomas Evan) Pritt was a trout fisherman, fly tyer, and author active in the mid to late 19th century. He was the angling editor of The Yorkshire Post and published various trout fly manuals, including Yorkshire Trout Flies, North Country Flies, and the Book of Grayling.
Wade
Henry Wade was a trout fisherman, fly tyer, and author active in the 19th century. He was Honorary Secretary of the Wear Valley Angling Association and published several manuals on trout flies.
