PTO095. Collection of 3 large French and English press photos of Hong Kong, two from December 1993 showing a Buddhist ritual on Lantau Island as well as a snake vendor and one from December 1951 showing life on the water

PTO096. Collection of French press photos of political developments in China between Miscellaneous group of 3 large format press photos of China. Shown are the visit of Pai Hsiang Kuo to Paris in 1971, the 25th anniversary of the communist regime, anti-Gang of Four propaganda, French president in China in 1976, death of Chou-En-Lai in 1976, Vice-Premier Fang Yi in Paris in 1978, Premier Deng Siao Ping, celebrations in Tiananmen Square supporting Hua Kuo Peng, Chinese delegation in Brussels in 1978, General Yang Dezhi in Paris in 1981, the Tenth National Congress of the Communist Party in China, Chou En-lai, the crackdown in Beijing in 1989, and Premier Deng Xiaoping in 1989. Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process.
