10 (ten) folders. approximately 125 letters, mostly manuscript, some typed, and some postcards. With some written from family members to Máire, letters between her parents to each other, some of her mother's personal correspondence, also her siblings letters to their parents. Other letter writers include Ambassador Frank J. Biggar (brother-in-law); Jean MacEntee (sister-in-law); Cardinal (Michael) David Browne (uncle, brother of Margaret MacEntee); Fr Patrick Browne (uncle, brother of Margaret MacEntee, also as Padraig de Bruin, writer); Monsignor Maurice (Moss) Browne (uncle, brother of Margaret MacEntee); Laurence Simms (grandson of Conor Cruise O'Brien). Some text in Irish.

The material was purchased at auction in several miscellaneous lots by Kennys Bookshop (Ireland), having been sent to auction by members of the family of the late Máire Mhac an tSaoi.
- Appraisal
The Oíche Nollag Dhá Leagan CD was removed from the collection after the audio files were extracted in October 2024. No other materials were removed from the collection during 2024 processing.
- Processing Information

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor.
