Scope and Contents

Documents comprising Swiss Federal Archives on the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA) and the Justice Commandos of the Armenian Genocide (JCAG), including numerous dossiers each made up of reproduced government documents, photocopied articles, and additional supplemental documents, on specific topics such as: Armenian terrorism; an explosive device on the Paris-Bern-Interlaken train on October 20, 1980; an explosion at the Cornavin train station on July 22, 1981; terrorism in Switzerland; the attack on the Turkish consulate in Geneva; Monte Melkonian; explosive attacks on the Palais de Justice and the Rue du Mont-Blanc post office in Geneva on October 3, 1981; explosive attacks at Kloten Airport on July 20, 1981; attacks against Turkish institutions in Zurich; and Armenian attacks against Swiss institutions abroad, among others.

Arrangement

The materials are arranged in the creator's original order – in geographical groups with some exceptions where materials are grouped by format (posters or other oversize material) and by organizational group. Oversize materials remain in their original groups but have been housed separately due to their size.
