Abstract
This collection contains ephemera concerning religious issues and events in Brazil, published between 1899 and 2002.
Collection Description & Creator Information
- Scope and Contents
This collection contains ephemera concerning religious issues and events in Brazil, published between 1899 and 2002. These materials include church bulletins, evangelical tracts, children's educational items, religious serials, monographs, pamphlets, flyers and research papers. The collection has a broader scope than previously produced collections that focused only on Christian materials (or individually addressed Catholic and Protestant materials) to include Afro-Brazilian religions and Judaism. Also, while most of the materials are written in Portuguese, there are also items in Spanish, German, and English. While the date range covered in this collection is very broad (1899-2002), the bulk of the material dates from the 1980s and 1990s.
