Collection Description & Creator Information

Scope and Contents

This collection contains pamphlets, monographs, bulletins, flyers, posters, and other miscellaneous items addressing a variety of local and regional development issues in Peru, such as municipal administration, civic participation and community organizing, infrastructure, socioeconomic development, and decentralization. The material is produced by a variety of sources, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civic coalitions, grassroots organizations, agrarian organizations, government bodies (ranging from municipal governments to Congress), other public institutions (such as Defensoría del Pueblo), and research institutes.

Further explanation of individual files can be found under the file listings in this inventory.

Arrangement

The material is arranged into twelve files. Files 1, 2, 4, 6, 10 and 11 each cover a specific subject area relating to local and regional development. The material in these files is arranged alphabetically by publishing organization; within each publishing organization, the items are ordered chronologically according to year of publication.

In the case of undated documents, either the symbol "s.d." or brackets are used to indicate the approximate year of publication. Undated items are either placed with other undated material at the beginning of the publishing institution's section, or among other material whose dates of publication are approximately the same.

Material with unidentified publishers is labeled "Miscellaneous."
