Description:

D&R's records document its development projects and business operations and include correspondence, contracts, data and maps, proposals and reports, and collected materials about each country. The best documented projects are its work in the Khuzestan region of Iran, as well as in Colombia and Vietnam. The records also include the files of several D&R officers, among them John G. Burnett, David E. Lilienthal, and John Oliver.

Archival Appraisal Information:

Materials separated from this collection include duplicate reports and publications, financial records such as receipts, checks, and payroll slips, and personnel files.

Collection is open for research use.

Single photocopies may be made for research purposes. For quotations that are fair use as defined under U. S. Copyright Law, no permission to cite or publish is required. For those few instances beyond fair use, any copyright vested in the donor has passed to Princeton University and researchers are free to move forward with use of materials without anything further from Mudd Library. For materials not created by the donor, where the copyright is not held by the University, researchers are responsible for determining who may hold the copyright and obtaining approval from them. In these instances, researchers do not need anything further from the Mudd Library to move forward with their use. Special Requirements for Access:

There are 20 film reels located in Series 3: Khuzestan Development Project (Iran). Access to this material follows the Mudd Manuscript Library policy for preservation and access to audiovisual materials.
