- Description:
Contains the personal papers of Flexner, including diaries and letters to his sister Mary while he served with the American Red Cross Commission to Romania (1917) and as counsel for the Zionist delegation to the Paris Peace Conference (1918-1919); material concerning Albert Einstein, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Sacco-Vanzetti trial record, and the juvenile court system of the early 1900s; and miscellaneous correspondence.
Also included are biographical notes on Flexner family history, photographs, poems by Hortense, James, and Jean Flexner, and correspondence (1882-1944) between various other members of this large Kentucky family.
