- Description:
Consists of scrapbooks of primarily newspaper clippings, but also photographs, correspondence, and copies of speeches, documenting the career of Reed (Princeton Class of 1900) between 1914 and 1940. Clippings also document, among other subjects, World War I, the 1932 Bonus March, the 1936 Johnstown, Pennsylvania, flood, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Notable correspondents include Herbert Hoover, Henry Luce, and General John J. Pershing. Some Hoover correspondence and clippings relate to Reed's participation in the London Naval Conference of 1930 as the U.S delegate.
