Collection Overview
Collection Description & Creator Information
- Scope and Contents
The 2016 addition is primarily composed of about 2,000 Outlook emails and other files that document the 2014 consultations and roundtables held in Romania, as well the run-up to the 2016 renewal of the Project on Ethnic Relations. Many of the emails have attachments which, together with the emails themselves, provide a rather comprehensive record of this undertaking, including the rapporteur's account of the two 2014 roundtables.
These materials also consist of six PDF scans of the files of Larry Watts in his capacity as senior consultant and director of the Bucharest office of PER from 1991-1997. The files include memoranda, reports, flyers, manuals, conference materials, and notes that document PER's role in mediating conflicts specifically in Romania but also throughout the former Soviet Union. Some of the materials also relate to the work of the World Policy Institute and other similarly minded organizations.
