Abstract
Richard Penn Smith (1799-1854) was a lawyer, editor, playwright, short story writer, and novelist of Philadelphia. His collection consists of a bound volume containing two of his plays ( My Uncle's Wedding and The Sentinels), miscellaneous manuscripts, a letter in verse to his mother, a diary, documents, engraved portraits, clippings, and miscellaneous papers of the Smith family.
