Consists of 113 photographs of American dramatist Eugene O'Neill and his wife, Carlotta, taken by American writer and photographer Carl Van Vechten.

The collection consists of 113 photographs of Eugene O'Neill and his wife, Carlotta, taken by Van Vechten. Most of the photographs are studio style; some, however, are informal in tone, taken at their estate, Casa Genotta, in Georgia.

The photographs are arranged chronologically by subject: portraits of Eugene, portraits of Carlotta, photographs of Casa Genotta and related.

Van Vechten
Carl Van Vechten was an American writer and photographer who was a patron of the Harlem Renaissance and the literary executor of Gertrude Stein. Eugene O'Neill was a Nobel Prize-winning American dramatist whose works include, The Iceman Cometh, A Touch of the Poet, and A Long Day's Journey into Night.
