Scope and Contents

The collection consists of playbills, programs, and some other printed material relating to the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. The majority of materials are American, though there are a few English playbills. The collection is organized into folders of specific drama companies such as the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company and the Blue Hill Troupe, as well as individual operas, including H. M. S. Pinafore, Mikado, and Pirates of Penzance.
