Typescript diary additionally titled "Notes of journey into Missippi [sic] and Texas, March 23rd to April 15, 1919." Includes approximately 260 silver gelatin snapshots, albumen prints, and photographic postcards (ranging from 4.5x7.5 cm. to 16x25 cm.), and 6 printed postcards. Most of the photographs have type-written or hand-written caption information, which also correspond to a guide to illustrations provided at the front of the diary. Additionally there are clippings, hand-drawn diagrams, etc. 326 pages according to original pagination.

Following Fraser's diary in this volume are various related items, including a 52-page account of the trip written by Grinnell, a letter from E. M. Butterworth describing a journey with John Wetherill to Hite, Utah, and the Abajo Mountains, and a synopsis of the Laguna Salt Legend, collected by Fred W. Canfield, a railroad agent at Laguna Statio.

Custodial History

The glass lantern slides were given the Princeton Geology Department by the Fraser family following Fraser's death, and were subsequently transferred to the library.

The collection was transferred to the Rare Books division in 2010.
