- Description:
The collection consists of copies of diaries kept by Blom and his wife, Gertrude Duby Blom, from 1943 to 1959 in 14 volumes. The diaries concern the Bloms' explorations and search for Maya ruins in the jungles of Chiapas, Mexico, including ruins at Bonampak, and the life of the Lacandon Indians in the Lacandon Jungle of Mexico.
