Edmund Wilson Letters to Margaret Rullman, circa 1900-1977 1950-1971 (mostly 1950-1971)

The collection consists of over thirty letters and cards from Wilson (Princeton Class of 1916) to Margaret Rullman, a childhood friend. Among the photographs included are pictures of the author as a child. In addition, there are newspaper clippings of articles relating to Wilson's career.

Wilson

A graduate of Princeton (Class of 1916), where he befriended F. Scott Fitzgerald, Edmund Wilson became an important American literary critic, essayist, and journalist. Many consider Wilson the preeminent American literary critic of his day and, perhaps, of the twentieth century.

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor.
